The Designer Breed
Shichons, The Teddy Bear Breed…
Shichon dogs are the result of crossing a pure-bred Bichon Frise and a pure-bred Shih Tzu. Crossing of two pure bred lines in this fashion produces what is known as a “designer breed.” The intention behind producing a designer breed is to introduce all of the desired traits that each parent breed inherently processes into one hybrid littler. In short, each offspring has some of mom’s great qualities and some of dad’s great qualities. Shichon puppies are rapidly becoming more and more popular as they are absolutely adorable right out of the gate!
